Dear Applicant,

During the two days of the interviews for the work period I997, I will be making a project entitled “the green room". I would like to invite you to come and visit before, and—if you wish——after, your interview. While you wait you can chill out, coffee, or a cold drink, eat some tasty snacks, take a look at the catalogs of artists who are the advisers here; read a booklet about current ‘participants’ experiences during their interviews, and more.

I will be there to answer any questio you may have: about my interview, the Rijksakademie, Amsterdam, or whatever things you’re curious about. As another part of the project, if you do not mind, I would like to record this experience. This is strictly up to you. I hope you may find this a more pleasant alternative than sitting alone in the canteen.
